Cycling commuters gain new respect

Where I live, the Powers That Be are just starting to catch on to the benefits of encouraging bike commuting. Pity about all the potholes and stressed motorists. Anyway, it's been nice to see interest if not exploding, at least, well, growing. This story from the Wall Street Journal pretty much announces that bike community has come of age. Respectability doesn't get much more pin-striped than WSJ!

Bike commuting link

Nancy: Thanks for the link. Great article. Albuquerque seems a great place to ride. I trained on the roads between Santa Fe and Albuquerque some years ago in preparation for a tour from Santa Fe to Annapolis with some St. John's College folks. What kind of riding are you into?

Bike riding

I am into road riding right now, although I've bounced back and forth from mountain to road to mountain to road over the course of the last two decades.
I also teach spin, which is what brought me to this site. I hope to share a lot of playlists and class ideas. This is a great idea.
I also trail run and I discovered PodRunner in February, about the time DJSteveboy put up his first mix. I got interested in using an iPod to train because of an article I read in the NY Times about workout podcasts and I started looking around (I'm addicted to my 'pod)
Steve's is one of the BEST.
Are people going to post Podcasts at this site?? Or just suggest where good ones may be found??

Playlists, podcasts, and posting

It is very cool have Podrunner here at fitPod. fitPod.com is a community site, so it can be used to share your playlists, start and participate in forums, write about classes, post and/or download mixes.
